"WE ARE ON A CONTRACT ON THIS EARTH"

Perhaps the Title seems to be quite interesting to you. What mean to say is this: Now let us take one example: If you are a boss of construction company and you own some land, one day you will come up with an idea to utilise your land, to build some building, a park or a factory on the land you own.

To begin with, you will plan meticulously in relation to the commercial viability, financing, marketing and safety aspects and so on, as per the governming regulations in your area.

You will use/hire manpower and machineries to do the work or to fulfill your plan or project. This could be a long term plan benefitting for a few decades to come.

The workers hired by you, will have to do the work exactly as per your design and plan and wishes and for that only you will pay to them as per agreement between you and them. You will not pay or tolerate a person who would go against your plan. There will be dispute in such a case.

Now it's time to come back to our title of this post: We are on contract on this earth.

Allah Almighty Who Created the earth and the universal system, sent us on this earth to do a project work. The project is to SERVE or WORSHIP Him and Him only by believing in Him fully as our ONLY God and the Creator, Sustainer, giver of food, security, safety, wealth, loss, pain, health, happiness, success, failure, Heaven, Hell and so on.

THE MEANING OF ISLAM:

The Medium to achieve this Project and its success is His Guidance: ISLAM.

"Islam" is an Arabic word and connotes submission, surrender, and obedience. As a religion, Islam stands for complete submission and obedience to Allah and that is why it is called ‘ISLAM’. Through this complete submission only, a soul, a person, a state, a society, a nation and the whole world will get peace. To get this peace, you have to sacrifice a little bit at some times or too much at the time of hardships which are all tests from Almighty Allah to see how much you love Him and stick strongly or hold strongly to His Religion or you leave His path of Islam and go to some worldly isms and lose the track...?

So Islam is a litmus test to see what you really are? Whether you belong to Allah Who Created and sustained you or you belong to the people who neither created you nor sustain you? You will go to Him after death (in the "soul" form) and on the Day of Judgment you will be standing before HIM only who judge your actions and life that you lived on this earth. (Note: here on interesting point to observe is that when some one smokes a cigarette, you can see the smoke going up in the air. When a man dies, his or her soul is taken up to Allah by the Angels to present it to Him and for His further command regarding this soul).

No person will save you on that Terrible Day (The Day of Judgment), if you left Allah and took others for God and worshipped them instead (instead of Allah).

The Qur’an uses "DEEN", usually translated as “religion,” in different contexts with various meanings, of which the most important and common are: judging, rewarding, punishing (QURAN Chapter No.1:Verse # 4, 51:6, 82:18-19, 37:53, 56:86); way, law, constitution (12:76); penal law (24:2); the collection of moral, spiritual, and worldly principles, system, way of conduct (33:5, 40:26); servanthood, obedience (16:52); and peace and order (8:39).

Every religion of the world has been named either after the name of its founder or after the community and nation in which that religion took its birth. For instance, Christianity takes its appellation from the name of its prophet Jesus Christ; Zoroastrians from its founder zoroaster; and Judaism, the religion of the Jews, from the name of the tribe Judah (of the country of judea) wherein it took its birth. Similar is the case with other religions. But not so with Islam. This religion enjoys the unique distinction of having no such association with any particular person or people.

"Ibrahim (Abraham) was not a Jew nor a Christian, but he was an upright (man), a Muslim; and he was not one of the Polytheists." Qur'an Chapter No. 3:67 verse.

Since the beginning Allah taught to man only one religion and the first man and the Prophet Adam got from Allah the Message of Islam only. There were 124,000 prophets of Allah sent to all parts of the world, to different tribes and nations (in different countries and different times). Allah mentions the name of some of the Prophets in the Holy Quran. Because Holy Quran is for our Spiritual and Moral guidance in all spheres of the life, Allah does not have to give us a list of all Prophets, list of things He created on the earth and in the universe, inside a star, an ocean and sun or moon etc. Allah's concern is that we are guided rightly on His Straight Path ("Sirat Al Mustaqeem" as in the first chapter of the Holy Quran, for which Allah taught us to ask for Guidance to be lead on this path chosen by Him for Mankind for all the times)and thus we become successful in this life and the permanent life of hereafter (after death)by doing the deeds or actions which are as per His Wish and Will.

There are so many people out there, who know nothing about Islam and then try to misguide by saying that what we have to learn from a riligion which only came 1,400 years ago? Our Religion and our scripture is older than Islam? So who cares to think about Islam as a religion for us? We will follow the religion of our ancestors or which we were born into (like Hinduism, Budhism, Christianity, Communism, Athiesm, Satanism, Sikhism, Jainism etc)!!!

But because Allah is the owner of our bodies and souls (if you deny it, here is a challenge: When you fall sick, and if none can cure you and even the physicians leave it to God, how come people can deny Allah's power over our bodies and the souls? When a person dies people around him or her just keep watching but they see him/her die-his/her soul or life is going out of his body at that time which is due to the Command of Allah only and none else. Why can't they just catch it and fix back into the body? SO WHO'S THE BOSS NOW? Who's the God of all who has control over all the things He Created? He says that He created all with His Pure Religion in the mother of the womb and came out to this world as a Muslim (with Islam). But the truth is that you were converted to their religion. For example, in a custody case of children during a divorce proceedings of parents, the court may order the kids to be given to either father or mother. The father can make them like himself, where he belongs to. If he is a drinker of alchohol, he will make them taste a pint or two and thus they will be moulded likewise. If he is a jew, he will manage the matters according to his beliefs and the kids will get accustomed to the jewish customs and guidance (that is if he follows the jewish religion and if simply says on the paper that he is a jewish but not at all practising it, then the kids will also be carefree and we don't know what they will do when they grow up...).

If the mother gets the custody and let's say that she is having some beliefs, she will nurture her cause and bring about her children according to her beliefs and taste.

But Allah gave only one Religion and Guidance or Direction to our Lives, that is ISLAM. All the prophets of Allah preached Islam; Adam, Noah, Ibrahim or Abraham, Ismael, Ishaq, Moses, Dawood or David, Sulaiman or Soloman, Yahya or John, Eisa or Jesus and finally Mohammad(S.A.W) the Last and the Greatest Prophet, the Leader of all Prophets of Allah and mankind. (peace be upon all Prophets of Allah).

You can't argue against Allah and bring about a justification for your argument which is contrary to what Allah says in the Holy Quran. Because Allah is Allah and you are what you are, you know and all people know around you. Do you remember when you were just born and came into the world, you saw the people around you, how much did you cry? and how loudly? Only mother's milk kept you silent at times, then and later? Do you know who gave this milk to your mother? That was Allah Almighty who is the ONLY King, Deity, God,Creator, Protector, Sustainer, giver and taker of the things and so on....All these Allah's merciful acts, glorious gifts seem to be having no effect on you, or you seem to forget easily, how come??? How come that you say no to Allah's words and arguments. How come you listen to others (other human beings) and pass a judgement on Islam, Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and Allah who Created you and sustained you? It's time to think...think about Allah and gain His Blessings...

No sacraments or procedures are prescribed for a person who likes to join the faith of Islam. One needs only to pronounce or to believe in the contents of the Declaration of the Faith:

"I bear witness that there is no God but the Almighty God Allah and that Mohammad is a messenger of Allah."

You may ask why is such a pronouncement sufficient for the admission of a person into the faith of Islam?

Answer is when a person states that he/she believes in Mohammad, as a Prophet and Messenger of Almighty God Allah, he/she actually states that he/she believes in all what Mohammad introduced, did and in all his teachings. This includes all the Qur'anic teachings, all the deeds and all the sayings of Mohammad (peace be upon him or in Arabic Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam), whether in the matter of belief or in the area of practice. In Islam, to achieve peace in this world as individuals or as a collective society and countries and in the hereafter as in individual status, we have two Basic Sources and they are:

1: Holy Qur’an which is Allah’s words preserved in different forms since the time of Prophet Mohammad –peace be upon him and

2: The Hadith collections which are nothing but the collections compiled by Hadith collectors and compilers (example: Imam Bukhari, Imam Muslim and others) of reports recorded by the Sahaba (male and female) Muslim companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who lived in his time and came into contact with him, heard him saying such and such things or saw doing him something on different occasions. These reports were recorded either on different materials and also memorized by the future generations by heart. One of the wonderful things about Arabs was that they had God given splendid memorable capacity and that seems to be one reason why God chose Arabs to carryout and carryforth His Message of Living and Success to all mankind for all the coming generations until the end of the world. Allah Himself took responsibility of preserving the Holy Qur’an and Islam. So none can destroy Islam. Anyone attempts to destroy Islam will himself be destroyed because as is sure, none will be able to win against Allah who is the Most Powerful and Almighty Creator of all.

SO WE ARE ON A MISSION (A DEFINITE CONTRACT, A DIVINE MANDATE FROM ALLAH)ON THIS EARTH.

will be continued...
